OLA School Lunch Program 2011-2012

School Lunch Menu for January, 2012
School Lunch Menu for February, 2012

I hope by now you have heard that there is something new cooking in the kitchen at OLA.  We, the Molavi Family, Sima, Fay, and Reza Molavi, are providing healthy, nutrient dense meals for the students and faculty of OLA.
Molavi Catering has over 160 years of combined experience in the food industry, and cooking is in our blood. We strive to provide fresh seasonal food options.  Our focus is to provide meals that will fuel the students physically, so they can carry on their mental and spiritual activities during the school day.  Our meals - the soups, sauces, and beans are prepared from scratch with love.  Keep in mind that the menu looks like a regular kids menu but since the meals are prepared from scratch, they are packed with healthy secret ingredients such as, onions, garlic, mushrooms, bell peppers, celery, carrots, herbs, and many other ingredients.
A few other items we would like to highlight:
Improved nutritional content and balanced meals - each entrée includes                   vegetables, fresh fruit, and water
Improved quality of meals - fresh and prepared from scratch
Improved variety of meals - monthly options in addition to the main entrée
Improvements in the morning snack bar
      Improved sanitation and kitchen maintenance
A monthly menu will be available on the school web page, in the school bulletin, and in the school office.  Make your selections, make a copy for yourself, and return the form to school. Take note that there is a daily main entrée and two other monthly options, “A” or “B.”  Also, note that we are willing to provide a vegetarian option for our meals when possible.  Just ask us.  Cash and checks are accepted; checks should be made payable to Reza Molavi.
Please note that we operate a very flexible kitchen.  Your order is never too late.  If your child happens to forget lunch or lunch is needed at the last minute, we will prepare lunch for your child.   Please do not hesitate to contact use for any last minute changes or additions.
Snack is being offered at morning recess and includes a variety of items such as granola bars, Cliff Bars, boiled eggs, fresh fruit, and cheese and crackers.  These items are available for $1.00 each.
You have all been so gracious and welcoming to us.  We are very pleased to be working with the OLA students, faculty, and community.  You and your children are so polite and well-mannered, and we appreciate that.  We feel that the change in menu might be a bit of an adjustment for the children.  Please talk to you children and ask them what they like and dislike about our food. We want to know!  Encourage your children to ask us questions about our food, and please encourage them to try new foods.  Please feel free to send us any suggestions on the order form.
Please come and visit us when you have the time, we would love to meet the parents of the students.  We wish you all a wonderful holiday season.  On that note, consider giving yourself a break this holiday season and order hot lunch!

Sincerely,
Sima, Faye and Reza Molavi
